Problem Details:- Replaying the VUgen script fails and the following error is logged in the VuGen replay log:

Error: connect can not be established - Last error=64, Last client error=0

we have used web(HTTP/HTML)& Citrix_ICA protocals to genrate Vugen script for Citrix applicaiton.

we are using LR version 11 on Windows.
Citrix Server version is:Citrix Xenapp 5.

we did't install any patches for the same. please help us to resove the issue ASAP.

ProblemSolution:-  Please apply following patches on top of LR 11

More Information:-

1, What is the version of Vugen that you are using? Please go to Help > About Mercury Vugen, click on the details button and it will open a HTML page. Please save this HTML page and send it to me. According to the notes of the case you are using LR 11, I strongly suggest you to install the latest patches (available at SSO) on top of LR 11.

2, Server version:

In the Citrix connection, go to Start > Programs > Citrix > Management Consoles > Presentation Server Console. Help > About Presentation Server Console. Take a screenshot of this window and send it to me.

3, Client version:

Please go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs > look for MetaFrame Pesentation Server Client > click here for support information, take a screenshot of the support information and send it to me

5, What is the Citrix client's Operating System?

6, What is the Citrix server's Operating System?

7, What are the recording done in? Is it:
i, direct connection to the server
ii, published application with an ica file
iii, published application with NFuse?

8, Could you please send me the Vugen script replayed with the extended log turn on? You can do so by going to Run-Time Settings > log > log Options > a. select "always send messages" and b. select Extended Log and check all three options beneath it (Parameter Substitution, Data Returned by Server and Advanced Trace). Then, go to File > Zip Operations > Export to Zip file, specific a location of the zip file and send them to me

I can’t send you the Vugen script via e-mail or HP request as some firewall will restrict it, could you please send me a HTTP link so that I can provide you the Vugen script.
Please help us to resolve this issue ASAP

More Information:-

I have received the script and I have checked the same, the following errors are noticed when using VuGen version 9.x or 11.x to record a Citrix application using a multiprotocol Citrix_ICA and Web (HTTP/HTML) script. The Citrix client is ICA version 10.x and the Citrix server version is Presentation Server version 4.0 or 4.5.
- The citrix application is not launched during the recording
- The VuGen citrix functions are not being generated in the script
- Replaying the VUgen script fails and the following error is logged in the VuGen replay log:

Error: connect cannot be established - Last error=64, Last client error=0
• A Citrix 10.X client registry patch needs to be applied to the LoadRunner and VuGen machine, please make sure you have installed the same.
• Also, this error can also be caused in a Citrix + Web multi protocol script, where the Citrix Web Interface 5.0 is used, due to manual correlation being needed due to a dynamic value in the Citrix Web Interface 5.0. For more info, see: KM891396 - Manual LoadRunner correlation for Citrix Web Interface (WI) 5.0, please make sure all the necessary dynamic values has been correlated (following the KB) and replay the script with full extended logs and provide the same if necessary.

More Information:-

As I stated on my email on Friday, July 01, 2011 1:38 AM

I did not receive any script with the changes described above, therefore I cannot investigate deeper.

On a side note, please make sure to update the ticket properly, since I work during US time and I was under the impression you were working during IST there is another engineer available during that time and all HP team needs to be informed about the current situation of the case.

More Information:-

The script uploaded here https://www4.ibackup.com/qmanager/servlet/share?key=hbmdq95779 does not contain any modification according to our latest suggestions (in fact seems to be the same script than provided before).

KM891396 - Manual LoadRunner correlation for Citrix Web Interface (WI) 5.0, please make sure all the necessary dynamic values has been correlated (following the KB)

As explained on the KB there are values that need to be manually correlated example:
ctrx_nfuse_connect("https://mycitrix.health.ge.com/Citrix/XenApp/site/launch.ica?CTX_Application=Citrix.MPS.App.GEHC-CTX-PROD.SalesLogix%20%e2%80%93%20DR&CTX_Token=2763AF2C794FE53473FE8C9C3789EDA6&LaunchId=1309424212902", CTRX_LAST);

Recording log: CTX_Token=2763AF2C794FE53473FE8C9C3789EDA6
Replay log: CTX_Token=4FBE28B02E12511438C76343F3125626

which indicates this value is dynamic and needs to be correlated.

Please follow the instructions on the KB (correlate all the dynamic values) and update us with the outcome.

More information:-

1.     Cipher issue -

[Network Analyzer ( d50: 39c)] (Sid: 20) Negotiate Proxy -> Server SSL Handshake (ssl:TLSv1, ciphers:RC4-MD5)
[Net An. Error ( d50: 39c)] (Sid: 20) Negotiate Client -> Proxy SSL Handshake Failed!!!

Could you please check if your web part uses a specific certificate ? Please note that you need to add it in recording options - port mapping

2. On other hand - http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM175267 please check this citrix guide and use the workaround suggested in page 4 - Q. When recording against a Citrix Nfuse website using Multi-Protocol, after clicking on the published application icon to create a connection to the Citrix server, an SSL Certificate Error appeared.

3. Also i have noticed that ICa file is empty , please ensure that after recording the ica file that appears in script folder is not empty
