Controller intermittenly hanging during test

Problem Details:- Ever since we switched our controller machines to Windows 7, the controllers have been intermittently hanging in the middle of tests. We received the message"HP LoadRunner Controller has stopped working...a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Screen shot attached. The controllers are "Windows 7 Professional 32-bit operating system".
Problem Solution:-  I didn’t see an attachment to the case. If the below doesn’t help please send me a screen shot, plus if the error dialog has a “details” link please send me the details, I need to know what the “faulting module” and other details.

Can you please ensure on problematic Windows 7 controllers that you have DEP and UAC fully disabled? DEP is Data Execution Prevention and UAC is User Access Control; both/either can cause similar symptoms.

Here are cmd-line methods to disable UAC and DEP. For DEP you will need to reboot afterwards:

Disable UAC in cmd shell:

%windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t

REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Disable DEP:

bcdedit.exe/set nx AlwaysOff (REBOOT NOW)
