How to link google site to your own Domain

Google provides you to create your own site with URL format as sites.google.com/site/<Sitename> from Gmail or if you are a google apps customer the format will be sites.google.com/a/<Sitename>. You can map this google site to  your own domain.

How to map your google site to your own domain if the site is created using Gmail:

  • Goto Sites.google.com
  • Login with gmail if not already logged in
  • Select the site that you want to map to your domain
  • In the top corner select Manage Site from more Actions (Drop down)
  • Click on Web address link in the left side menu.
  • Enter your your domain name in the Web Address , then click the Add button

How to map your google site to your own domain if the site is created using Google Apps Account:


  • Goto Sites.google.com
  • Login with gmail if not already logged in
  • Select the site that you want to map to your domain
  • Click on More on top left corner and click on manage site (See below image)

  • Click on Map This site in general settings page (See below image)
  • Enter the custom web address. and click on Add mapping button
  • You might have to wait up to 24 hours to see your changes.
